This website has been designed by the UK Concrete Platform Sustainable Construction Task Group (UKCP SCTG).

The website is designed to inform and assist those interested in knowing more about concrete, its sustainability and how it can be used in sustainable design and construction.


Portland Cement Association’s Concrete Thinker

This website resource is intended to help design professionals make sustainable design a reality through the durability, versatility and energy performance of concrete.

Through application overviews, case studies and other resources and tools learn how forward-thinking architects rely on concrete to create healthy and vibrant places to work, live and play for years to come.

This site was developed by the Portland Cement Association to demonstrate how concrete can be used to achieve sustainability solutions.


New Zealand Ministry for the Environment  Govt3

Under the motto ‘walking the talk’, the Ministry for the Environment runs the Govt3 programme that helps central government agencies become more sustainable.

Govt3 promotes a learning by sharing approach where participating agencies learn from each other’s experiences. Govt3 runs regular network meetings, links up people across agencies and sectors, and provides case studies and technical information.


New Zealand Green Building Council

The New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) is an inclusive broad-based industry organization that has been formed to lead New Zealand’s focus on green building.

NZGBC is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) made up of industry leaders who are committed to developing market based solutions that help deliver efficient, healthier, innovative buildings for New Zealand.
